Boise police seek witnesses for help in February murder investigation

Boise Police Department is asking for witnesses to come forward to help with a February felony murder investigation, according to a BPD press release.

Joshua Alberts, 39, of Boise, was arrested on a first-degree murder charge. He is accused of shooting Joshua Warren to death on Feb. 20 at an apartment complex near Ustick and North Cole roads.

Ada County Deputy Prosecutor Jeff White said Alberts set up a time for Warren to pick up his children. When Warren arrived, Alberts allegedly shot Warren with a handgun in his head and torso. The children, White said, were not present.

Witnesses pointed police to Alberts as the shooter, but BPD is looking for more information. The investigation is ongoing, according to the release.

Anyone with information who hasn’t already spoken to police is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 208-343-COPS.
