Ada County fires jail deputy two days after domestic violence arrest
Troy Eisele, 29, of Meridian faces a felony charge of attempted strangulation plus misdemeanor false imprisonment in connection with a Saturday incident at a Meridian home.
The sheriff's office, which placed him on administrative leave Saturday pending an internal investigation, sent out a news release Monday afternoon saying he has been terminated. He worked as a deputy for less than 10 months.
Eisele was arraigned on the charges Monday and released on $50,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 8. He was arrested by Meridian police Saturday after an altercation with a woman.
