Ontario police investigate weekend stabbing

A 46-year-old Ontario man was stabbed in the abdomen and arm early Sunday morning, and police are working to determine details of what happened, police said Monday.

Police were called to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Ontario about 2:45 a.m. in response to a stabbing victim. The man told officers he was stabbed while walking down the street, but investigators determined the stabbing took place at a home in the 700 block of Northwest 3rd Street, police said.

Officers obtained a search warrant for the home, and the Oregon State Police Crime Lab processed the scene for evidence.
