BPD drug probe results in home search, 6 arrests
Following a two-week investigation into reports of illegal narcotics, firearms and gang-related activities at a Boise Bench residence, Boise police searched the home, arresting six people on drug-related charges, police said Friday.
BPD Special Operations Unit officers executed a search warrant about 12:30 a.m. Thursday at a residence at the intersection South Hilton and West Targee streets, police said. Officers found several packages totaling more than 73 grams of a crystalline substance that tested presumptive positive for meth, plus two firearms and an assortment of ammunition, police said.
Jefferey A. Arguello, 46, of Boise was arrested on felony charges of intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Selena Thom, 22, of Boise was arrested on a felony failure to appear warrant and misdemeanor charges of marijuana possession, paraphernalia possession and frequenting a place where drugs are used.
Others charged with "frequenting" were Francisco Bautista, 20, of Nampa and Boise residents Monica Garcia, 33, John Bernal, 31, and Carmen Becerra, 24. All six suspects were taken to the Ada County Jail.
