A nondescript-looking spoiler that fell off a Subaru Legacy sedan may help Eagle police find the culprit who drove into three fences and came to a stop in a pasture off Rush Road early Wednesday morning.

The car smashed through wooden and barbed wire fences near the dead-end on Rush Road. The car had to drive through the barbed wire again to get out, so the car is expected to have quite a bit of visible damage, police report. The spoiler was left behind, and police circulated a photo of it Wednesday.

Officers identified the car as a Subaru Legacy sedan, likely made between 2002 and 2004, by analyzing the damaged car parts left at the scene of the crash.

Anyone who has information about the crash or the car is asked to call Eagle police at 938-2260.
