Nampa police: Man with gun tried to take two victims' vehicles

A 26-year-old man was booked into the Canyon County jail Wednesday on suspicion of trying to take two vehicles from drivers in a business parking lot in the 2100 block of 12th Avenue Road.

Neither person gave up their vehicle, but the robber took a personal item from one victim, then left on foot, Nampa police said. He displayed a firearm, police said.

The armed robbery was reported about 10:30 a.m., and the victims described the robber to investigating officers.

Justin R. Jager was arrested in the area on charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault, police said.
