Meridian man barricades himself to avoid warrant, then gives up

A Meridian man was arrested Wednesday after fleeing a bondsman who was trying to serve a warrant, KIVI-TV, Channel 6 reports.

Daniel Norris, 30, reportedly ran into a home on Spearfish Drive and barricaded himself, police said. But after roughly two hours of being in the home, Norris walked out and was arrested without incident, Channel 6 reports. Movers outside the house said the man threatened them, the television station reports.

He was booked into the Ada County Jail Wednesday evening on the failure to appear warrant.
