A 23-year-old man is in jail after Garden City police found illegal drugs, paraphernalia, large sums of money and two guns in his car and on his person.
Police arrested Jacob Engels on an outstanding felony warrant late Thursday night as he approached a residence in the 200 block of East 44th Street, according to a Garden City Police news release.
Officers searched Jacob Engels and found several prescription medications, methyamphetamine and heroine plus paraphernalia and a large, but undisclosed, amount of money.
A police dog alerted to suspected drugs in Engels' vehicle, and a search of the car yielded more paraphernalia, several ounces of the synthetic drug "Spice," and two firearms, police said.
