Mountain Home man accused of child rape, sexual abuse. Bond set at $1 million
A Mountain Home man has been arrested on several sex-crime charges involving children, and authorities believe there could be more victims.
In a social media post shared Thursday, the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office said an arrest warrant was issued for Dillon Thorpe on June 10 after authorities conducted an investigation into allegations of child sexual abuse. Thorpe faces four counts of rape of a child under 16; two counts of lewd conduct with a child under 16; one count of child sexual abuse; and one count of child enticement — all felonies.
Court records show Thorpe was arraigned on June 6 and his bond was set at $1 million.
The Sheriff’s Office stated that it will not provide additional details to protect the privacy of the victims and witnesses. Law enforcement believes there could be more victims and asked anyone with information to contact the Sheriff’s Office or the Mountain Home Police Department.
A preliminary hearing for Thorpe’s case will be held on June 26 at 9 a.m.
