Civilian vigilante group accused Idaho man of enticing teen. He’s been arrested
Over the weekend a civilian vigilante group, known as Predator Poachers, confronted a man in Horseshoe Bend over an allegation that he planned to meet up with a teenage girl for sex, according video footage publicized by the organization’s Washington-based group.
And, hours later, the man was arrested.
Dakota Green of Horseshoe Bend was arrested Saturday on suspicion of felony enticing children through the internet, video image or other communication device, according to the Boise County Sheriff’s Office. He’s in custody at the Ada County Jail, online records showed.
On Saturday, the Sheriff’s Office said it had been made aware of the allegations against Green by Predator Poachers, after members of the group confronted the man early that morning. The Sheriff’s Office said at that time that they were still investigating, as “this type of review of evidence takes time” and must be obtained legally.
“The Sheriff’s Office will continue to investigate these offenses, as it always has done within the confines of its limited resources, in order to keep the Boise County community safe,” the agency wrote on Facebook.
Immediately following that report, the Sheriff’s Office said, it started seeking search warrants, obtaining evidence and completing in-person interviews. The investigation is ongoing and there could be additional charges, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
