An Idaho high school teacher has been arrested on suspicion of sexual battery of a minor child, 16 or 17 years of age, according to the Nampa Police Department.

Nampa police received a report on May 26 of an off-campus interaction between Ridgevue High School faculty member Troy Wayne McFadden, 46, and a student, according to police.

Detectives began an investigation, and McFadden was arrested without incident on June 11 and taken to the Canyon County Jail.

McFadden taught career and technical education classes, according to Ridgevue High School’s website.

While investigators said they believe this is an isolated incident and have no indication of other victims, Nampa police encourage parents to speak with their children who may have had contact with McFadden and report any inappropriate conduct.
