Cybertip leads police to Boise man who’s arrested on child porn charges

Police said Wednesday that a 30-year-old Boise man was arrested on two counts of sexual exploitation of a child after an investigation prompted by a cybertip.

Haley Kramer, a Boise Police Department spokesperson, told the Idaho Statesman that detectives with the special victims unit received a CyberTipline tip last June about child pornography online. CyberTipline is a nationwide service to provide reports of online exploitation of children, and is run by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

That tip started an investigation that led to police obtaining a search warrant in early April, Kramer said in an email, which led detectives to find that Anthony Joseph Savorelli was found to “knowingly download” and “share” materials containing sexual abuse of a minor.

Savorelli was arrested early Wednesday morning and booked into the Ada County Jail, where online records show the two felony counts he faces.
