Police seek public’s help in searching for Boise bank robbery suspect

The Boise Police Department is searching for a suspect following a bank robbery on the Bench on Tuesday afternoon.

Police spokesperson Haley Williams told the Idaho Statesman that police received a call about the robbery, which took place near Vista Avenue and Overland Road, at about 12:50 p.m. Police say the suspect fled on foot with an “undisclosed amount of cash.”

Police have shared photos of the suspect on the BPD Facebook page, showing a person wearing a dark hoodie, baseball hat, sunglasses and a surgical mask. Williams told the Statesman that the suspect did not display a weapon.

No injuries were reported, police said.

The department is asking anyone with information to contact 911.
