Both defendants involved in the suspected kidnapping of an Idaho man lured to the Eagle Foothills under the false pretense of a photoshoot have entered guilty pleas and will face sentencing in May.

Two Meridian men, Devin Larson, 21, and Steen Lamb, 22, were arrested in September and charged with felony second-degree kidnapping and misdemeanor battery. Police said they tased, restrained and beat a man in early September in the foothills near the Idaho 16 highway.

Larson and Lamb both signed agreements in February to plead guilty to felony second-degree kidnapping. The misdemeanor battery charges are set to be dismissed as part of the deal.

Larson and Lamb will appear in front of an Ada County judge on May 7 at 10 a.m. to be sentenced. According to Idaho law, second-degree kidnapping is punishable by up to 25 years in prison.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Sept. 5. Police said a man called to report that he was kidnapped by someone he knew earlier that evening. The victim said he believed he was meeting someone to do a photoshoot, but when he arrived, it wasn’t the person he’d been communicating with.

According to previous Idaho Statesman reporting, prosecutor Cameron Haylett said during court proceedings that the victim was zip-tied, kicked and tased. Haylett also said the perpetrators put a bag around the man’s body and threatened to kill him if he didn’t break up with his girlfriend.
