Boise man’s alleged sexual assaults at Meridian water park lead to indictment

A man police said was seen on surveillance video inappropriately touching people at a Meridian water park has been indicted by a grand jury on additional charges.

Officers responded to Roaring Springs Waterpark and took Bo Gene Crisp, 40, of Boise, into custody on June 13 over reports that he had sexually touched a child in the wave pool, according to the Meridian Police Department.

Police said they found additional footage from the water park’s cameras that showed him touching others, and a grand jury indicted Crisp on Tuesday for alleged crimes that took place that same day at Roaring Springs, court documents show.

Those charges include felony sexual abuse of a 13-year-old girl, felony sexual battery of a 16-year-old girl and misdemeanor sexual battery of an adult.

Prosecutors also sought to charge Crisp with felony attempted sexual abuse of another 13-year-old girl, but the grand jury did not indict him on that count, according to court records.

Crisp is set to be arraigned next Thursday at the Ada County Courthouse.
