Update: Boise police arrest suspect wanted in Nampa hotel shooting death
Boise police on Friday arrested the suspect in a shooting death from earlier in the day in Nampa.
Nampa police were searching for the man suspected of involvement in the shooting death of a man Friday morning.
About 9:10 a.m., police responded to several calls of shots fired and the possibility of an injury in the parking lot of a hotel in the 4100 block of East Flamingo Ave., according to Nampa police in a news release. When police arrived, they located a deceased man with gunshot wounds.
Police identified the suspect as Saengutone Ty Maria, 33, of Nampa — and Nampa police said they considered him armed and dangerous. He was arrested later in the day by Boise police, according to an emailed statement to the media from Nampa police.
Maria was booked in the Canyon County Jail on a first-degree murder charge, according to jail records.
The identity of the victim was not released. The investigation is considered ongoing, according to police.
