Fight outside gas station results in stabbing death, Boise police say. Two men arrested
Police arrested two people after a fatal stabbing outside a Boise gas station early Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to a call at 12:30 a.m. in the 7300 block of W. Ustick Road and found an “unresponsive male” with a stab wound, the Boise Police Department said in a news release.
Officers performed life-saving measures at the scene until paramedics arrived. The victim died at a local hospital, police said. The Ada County Coroner’s Office will release his identity.
Officers said they saw a man later identified as Eliseo Torres, 36, of Caldwell, running away from the scene along Cole Road, but he then ran back to the area and spoke with police, according to the release.
“During their investigation, officers learned there was a fight between Torres and several subjects, including the victim,” police said.
Torres was injured and received treatment at a hospital before being booked into the Ada County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder and two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance. He also faced a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia from a previous warrant.
Police said evidence indicated that Torres stabbed the victim and a man named Daydreyn Pelton, 25, of Boise, who was apprehended nearby, was “involved in the altercation and stole property from Torres.”
Officers apprehended Pelton after noticing that he “matched the description of one of the involved suspects,” police said in the release.
Pelton was booked into the jail on suspicion of felony robbery.
Detectives are looking for additional suspects and asked anyone with information to contact Ada County Dispatch at 208-377-6790 or Crime Stoppers at 208-343-2677.
