Boise State University sent out an urgent BroncoAlert on Thursday morning warning about a sexual battery on the Boise River Greenbelt under the Capitol Boulevard bridge.

Boise police officers were dispatched around 10:17 a.m. to a report of a suspect grabbing a woman’s buttocks while she was walking on the Greenbelt, a police spokesperson said. Officers are looking for the man.

“The suspect … on a bicycle grabbed the female victim before riding east through Julia Davis Park,” the alert said. “Please use caution and contact the Department of Public Safety Dispatch at (208) 426-6911 if you have any information.”

BroncoAlert is Boise State’s emergency notification system. A university spokesperson said there was no additional information as of yet.

The suspect is listed as an older, white male with glasses, a green bike, a gray backpack, white shoes and a gray shirt and shorts.
