Caldwell police investigate pair of drive-by shootings. No suspects are in custody
The Caldwell Police Department is searching for suspects in a pair of drive-by shootings early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to a shooting at 1:14 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of E. Freeport Street and quickly learned that neighbors had heard gunshots in the 700 block of E. Freeport as well, according to a news release from Caldwell police.
In both locations police found that unoccupied vehicles had been shot. No one was injured in either case.
The news release said that police believe the incidents to be connected, targeted attacks.
“Good luck running away from justice,” Caldwell Police Chief Rex Ingram said in the release. He said investigators would “systematically track you down and bring you to your new home at the Canyon County jail. ... Your actions were reckless and cowardly, at best.”
Police ask that anyone with information about the shootings call 343-COPS or nonemergency dispatch at 208-454-7531.
