The Boise Police Department announced late Friday night that it had arrested three suspects after investigating the death of a gunshot victim earlier this week.

On Wednesday at 11 p.m., Boise police responded to a local hospital after a victim arrived with a gunshot wound, and that person then died from their injuries, according to a BPD press release. Detectives investigated and located suspects near the 7000 block of W. Emerald Street, the release said.

“For the safety of the public and officers, the Boise Police Department Special Operations Unit responded to the scene,” police said in the release.

Police then arrested three people Friday at around 4 p.m. The release said evidence showed that Zachary Gordan, 26, had gotten into a verbal dispute with the victim at a residence near Cole Road and Emerald Street. That dispute led to the shooting and to the victim being dropped off at the hospital, according to police.

The release said Gordan and the victim knew each other.

Gordan was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder and was booked into the Ada County Jail on Friday. Online records showed he was still in jail Saturday.

The BPD release also said that two women, ages 30 and 36, were arrested for allegedly concealing or harboring a felon.

Police said the Ada County coroner would release the identity of the victim.
