A shooting in a Nampa parking lot left one person dead and another wounded, the Nampa Police Department said Friday.

At 8:51 p.m. Thursday, Nampa officers responded to a report of a shooting at a business in the 2100 block of North Cassia Street, according to a news release from the department. There are multiple businesses located in that area, including a Golden Corral Buffet and a Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews.

Police located a male with “apparent gunshot wounds” and began performing life-saving measures, police said. He died at the scene.

A second man, whose condition was not known, showed up at a local hospital with gunshot wounds, the release said.

“The identities of both involved parties are not being released at this time,” police said.

Police are asking anyone with information to anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 208-343-COPS.
