Idaho State Police and the Cassia County Sheriff’s Office issued an Amber Alert on Tuesday for a 4-year-old girl from Burley.

Idaho State Police canceled an Amber Alert early Wednesday morning after authorities said they found the 4-year-old girl in Nevada and arrested her grandmother.

Burley’s Alaina Duey was reported missing by her mother, Natalia Duey, to the Cassia County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, according to a news release.

Duey told police that the girl’s grandmother, Elizabeth Rose Crofts, was supposed to take Alaina to school and picked her up at around 10:30 a.m. But Alaina “never made it to school,” according to the release, and Natalia Duey went to a motel where Crofts, who is Natalia’s mother, had been staying and found that she had checked out of her room.

“Ms. Crofts may be traveling to the area of Boise, Idaho, or the State of Arizona,” the release said. The Amber Alert was issued at around 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

The alert was canceled early Wednesday morning after the girl was found in Elko County, Nevada, according to a tweet from Idaho State Police. Crofts was arrested and placed in police custody, ISP said.
