Idaho police ask for information regarding Caldwell man accused of child sexual abuse
Caldwell Police are asking the public for any information about a suspect in custody they believe is tied to multiple child sexual enticement cases.
In August, Caldwell detectives identified Terry Delonnie Jr., 40, as a suspect in several child enticement cases. Detectives were able to track and follow Delonnie for an extended period of time, according to a Caldwell Police Department news release.
In late August, police say they were able to place Delonnie at the scene where a 15-year-old girl reported a man attempting to enter her bedroom and asking her to preform sexually abusive acts.
At the conclusion of the investigation and after Delonnie’s subsequent arrest, detectives discovered a large number of explicit images of children who appear to be as young as age 6 on his personal electronic device, according to the news release.
Delonnie is charged on suspicion of 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a child, and police say additional charges are pending in the enticement cases. Delonnie was driving a gray 2012 Jeep Liberty at the time of the alleged enticements.
He remained in custody at the Canyon County jail on Wednesday.
He was known to travel to Boise, Meridian, Nampa and Caldwell, and would frequent parks and apartment complexes, police said. Anyone with information about Delonnie, or who may have been approached by him, is asked to contact Caldwell Police at 208-455-3115.
