Police seek suspects after reports of shots fired in Downtown Boise early Sunday morning

Police are looking for a suspect following two early morning reports of shots fired that are believed to be connected, according to a Boise Police Department news release.

Shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a report of a fight and a shot fired near 10th and Bannock streets in Downtown Boise. A few minutes later, they received reports of shots fired two blocks away at 10th and Main streets.

Police took several people into custody at 10th and Main, according to the news release, but it wasn’t immediately clear if those individuals were charged, what crimes they may have been charged with or what their connection was to the shots fired, if any.

Officials determined firearms were fired at both scenes, but said they don’t believe the two incidents are related. The unknown suspect who fired the shot at 10th and Main reportedly fled the scene, police said. They did not clarify the whereabouts of the suspect in the reported shots fired at 10th and Bannock.

Police are asking anyone with information on either incident to contact Ada County Dispatch at 208-377-6790 or Crime Stoppers at 208-343-COPS. Crime Stoppers can also be reached using the P3 app or online at www.343cops.com.
