Amber Alert issued for two Rathdrum, Idaho, boys believed to be in danger

An Amber Alert was issued on Thursday for two missing Rathdrum children, — a 6-year-old boy named Leo Isador Hiibel-Cloutier and 17-year-old Gene William Heckman. Police are searching for the 35-year-old woman who allegedly took them.

According to the Amber Alert, the suspect, Mimi Hiibel, is driving a black 2012 Nissan with Idaho license plate No. K616700. Hiibel is Leo’s mother, but she does not have legal custody of the boy.

Police believe they may be en route to Oklahoma or Nevada. They were last seen May 31 at 15837 N. Westwood Drive in Rathdrum.

Leo has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing black corduroy pants, a white T-shirt, black tennis shoes and a camouflage hooded sweat shirt. He’s 4 feet tall and weighs about 70 pounds.

Gene is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. He was brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a Carhart-style jacket.

Mimi Hiibel has brown hair and green eyes. She’s 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs about 145 pounds. She has a tattoo on the back of her left hand, near her thumb, of the letter “J.”

Anyone who has seen the suspect or vehicle should call 911.
