Update: Suspect in Friday’s stolen-vehicle crash in Boise arrested in Nampa
Tommy Nash, 45, suspected of crashing a stolen vehicle into a Boise house last Friday, was arrested Saturday in Nampa, according to a Boise Police Department press release.
Nash was spotted by a loss prevention employee in Nampa who alerted law enforcement, according to the release. He was booked into the Canyon County jail on an Ada County warrant as well as charges of burglary, grand theft, petit theft and malicious injury to property.
Boise Police on Friday sent out information on Nash to the public, other law enforcement and the Organized Retail Crime Association of Idaho. This came after Nash allegedly fled Garden City police in a stolen vehicle and crashed into a house, briefly resulting in Capital High School and Valley View Elementary going into shelter-in-place mode Friday.
The vehicle had been reported stolen from Nampa, BPD said Friday. Police said that after he crashed the vehicle into a house in the 7700 block of Bridlewood Circle, Nash fled on foot.
There were no known injuries as a result of the crash.
Nash had previously been arrested on two counts of burglary and two counts of grand theft. He posted bond from jail on Feb. 19 and was due back in court for that case on Feb. 28.
