Boise Police: Teens found with marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy and guns in hotel room

Two teenage adults and five juveniles are facing charges after police found marijuana, cocaine, MDMA, LSD, drug paraphernalia and guns in a motel room Wednesday night, according to a Boise Police Department press release.

Jadon Castro, 18, faces five felony charges: three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, one count of drug trafficking marijuana and one count of altering identification numbers.

In all, police said they seized 15 grams of suspected cocaine, 1.47 pounds of suspected marijuana, 5.4 grams of suspected MDMA (ecstasy), four packages of LSD and two firearms.

Five juveniles and one other 18-year-old were charged or given citations, police said.

Police responded to a call to the 1600 block of W. Main Street on Wednesday and said they found the teens in a motel room. Officers began an investigation into reported drug use and possible assault, according to the release, and obtained a search warrant for the motel room, where they discovered the drugs and guns, one of which had the serial numbers ground off.

Police said Castro was in possession of the controlled substances and had intent to deliver them, and evidence also indicated that he was in possession of the firearm with an obliterated serial number, according to the release.

Five juvenile suspects ranging from 15 to 17 were individually charged or cited with possession of a controlled substance or frequenting a place where drugs were used. A second 18-year-old was cited for frequenting a place where drugs were used, according to the release.

Castro was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail.
