Police search hotel room on Boise Bench, arrest man accused of trafficking meth

Boise Police officers arrested 61-year-old Berle Cullum in the 2500 block of south Vista Avenue on Thursday night for suspected trafficking of 1.5 ounces of methamphetamine.

Police were executing a search warrant at a hotel when Cullum, who is believed to have been staying in the room, approached the officers. Police searched Cullum and claim to have found him to be in possession of a knife and a suspected narcotics pipe, according to a press release.

Several baggies of meth were found in a backpack after Cullum was taken into custody, according to police.

To be charged with trafficking drugs in Idaho, a suspect must have a minimum of 28 grams of meth. Cullum is accused of having 42 grams.

Police booked Cullum into Ada County Jail on suspicion of felony trafficking of methamphetamine.
