Boise police seek public’s help finding suspect in attempted vehicle theft

The Boise Police Department is investigating an attempted armed robbery that took place Monday in the 5000 block of Franklin Road, according to a news release.

The victim told police that she was in a parking lot when a man approached her with a knife and demanded the keys to her truck, police said. The victim began yelling and the suspect left the area, according to the release. The victim then notified police, and detectives were able to identity a suspect based on a surveillance image.

The man is described as white and approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a slender build and a mustache.
