Man found dead in Meridian home after 911 call, but it’s not homicide, coroner says
A 49-year-old man found dead at a home in the 400 block of South Linder Road on Wednesday morning died by suicide, according to the Ada County Coroner’s Office.
The Idaho Statesman does not name people who die as the result of suicide.
The Ada County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday morning that deputies were investigating after they responded to a call in the 400 block of South Linder Road, near West Pintail Drive. Upon arrival, they found the man deceased.
Initial information indicates that there was a confrontation between the man and another person in the house, during which the man struck that person, who called 911, according to the Sheriff’s Office. After that, the man apparently took his own life.
The investigation is ongoing, and further information was not immediately available.
