Boise man arrested on child sex abuse charges; police believe he has more victims

Boise Police on Thursday arrested a 37-year-old man who is accused of sexually abusing a child younger than age 16 on multiple occasions.

Police booked Brian Alker, of Boise, into jail on suspicion of three counts of felony lewd conduct with a child younger than age 16, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said they began investigating Alker in October.

“Alker was known to the victim and made contact with her in a home near Roosevelt and Rosehill Street,” according to a BPD news release. “Evidence shows that Alker assaulted the victim on more than one occasion.”

After obtaining a warrant, police arrested Alker at a home in the 6400 block of Franklin Road. He was set to appear in court on Friday afternoon.

Police say they think Alker might have other victims. Anyone with information is asked to contact Ada County dispatch at 208-377-6790 or Crime Stoppers at 208-343-COPS (2677), www.343COPS.com, or by leaving a tip using the “P3 Tips” app for mobile devices.
