Boise man charged with physically abusing teen. The child needed stitches.

A Boise man has been charged with two felonies in connection with head injuries suffered by a 13-year-old child in his care.

Marko Maylack, 56, was booked into the Ada County Jail on Wednesday on a charge of injury to a child and an enhancement for infliction of great bodily injury, according to the Ada County Jail roster.

A no-contact order was put in place on Tuesday, online court records show.

Maylack is accused of striking the child in the head and/or ear on or between April 10-12, according to the criminal complaint. The child required stitches.

Maylack was arraigned on Friday. He is being held in the Ada County Jail on $500,000 bond.

His preliminary hearing will be 8:30 a.m. May 7.
