Roommate argument leads to stabbings, gunfire in Nampa home early Wednesday
Around 4 a.m. Wednesday, a dispute between three people led to one man firing a gun and two people being stabbed in a Nampa home, police say.
Nampa Police Sgt. Tim Riha told the Statesman that the dispute occurred at the home of two women, ages 22 and 26, in the 1700 block of 1st Street North and the man who was temporarily staying with them. The man, Seth Anderson, 26, was detained by law enforcement.
When Anderson came home intoxicated, an argument started between the roommates and one woman asked him to leave, according to police.
Anderson then came out of his room with a firearm and threatened the women, according to a police news release. During a struggle over the gun, the firearm discharged and shot into the floor. No one was shot.
One of the women who lives in the home then stabbed the man in the back, and he then slashed one woman with a knife, police stated.
The woman received a minor injury and was not taken to the hospital. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury and remains in custody, Riha said.
Anderson was arrested on suspicion of two counts of aggravated assault and one count of aggravated battery.
