A trailer stolen from Nampa’s Skyview High School on Oct. 22 was recovered by Nampa Police on Thursday at a residence.

The trailer and several other items, including a motorized tricycle ridden by the school mascot, had been nearly destroyed, police said in a press release.

Katherine Martin (age 37), Travis Wilson (24), Alexander White (25) and Robert Crofutt (37) were arrested at the scene; Martin and Wilson were charged with grand theft.

According to a statement from the Nampa Police Department, a 16-foot trailer that was locked in an enclosed area on campus was stolen on Oct. 22 and filled with “tools and other equipment.” Police investigated the theft and obtained a warrant for a residence on the 400 block of West Greenhurst Road. Upon investigating, authorities found the trailer and other items in a barn.

The trailer, “had been cut to pieces and reduced to a mangled flatbed trailer” and the tricycle was severely damaged; a truck stolen from Roaring Springs was spray painted black and severely damaged as well.

Other items discovered in the barn may be related to other thefts, police said.

“People were in the process of cutting and destroying the property at the time the search warrant was being obtained and served,” Lt. Eric Skoglund said in the release. “It was shocking to see the effort being made to destroy the valuable equipment that was only days before such an important asset to our schools and local businesses.”
