Boise police say they used a stun gun on a naked woman waving a knife after she refused to listen to officers’ commands early Thursday morning.
Officers say they approached the 59-year-old woman at around 12:45 a.m., near Idaho and 12th streets, after getting a report that she was running around downtown naked with a knife.
Police found her running south on 12th Street, toward Idaho. She continued to run from officers, ignoring their request that she drop the knife, according to BPD. Additional officers arrived; the woman continued to wave the knife, at which point one officer fired the stun gun, police said.
It’s unclear what led up to the situation. Paramedics took the woman to a local hospital. She had not been charged with a crime as of noon Thursday, and her name had not been released.
