Suitcase carrying almost 16 pounds of pot found at Boise bus station, 1 man arrested
City bus drivers found a suitcase containing nearly 16 pounds of marijuana Tuesday on a bus that was set to travel out of the state from the station at Bannock and 13th streets.
Boise Police responded to the scene after employees became aware of a suitcase on board that may contain an illegal substance that was believed to have belonged to Edward T. Elder.
Employees searched the suitcase and found 15 plastic wrapped packages containing a green leafy substance that later tested presumptive positive for marijuana. Officers arrested Elder, 21, of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
He was booked into the Ada County Jail on suspicion of felony trafficking in marijuana.
