Boise Police Department on Tuesday announced that officers arrested a Boise man who was injured in a Thursday shooting on the Boise Bench, though two other suspects are still at large.

David McGinnis, 29, was booked into Ada County Jail on Monday afternoon after he was released from the hospital where he was taken Thursday with wounds sustained in the Palouse Street shooting. McGinnis faces felony charges of grand theft, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture or delver, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Police said the Boisean was shot after an altercation at his home on Thursday. According to a press release, officers searching McGinnis’ bedroom found a stolen firearm and illegal drugs including methamphetamine and cocaine. McGinnis, a prior felon, is prohibited from owning firearms.

Officers are still looking for two men who left the scene of the shooting in a silver, older model two-door car. Police said the men, both white, drove north on Columbus from Palouse Street. The windows of the vehicle may be damaged or shot out.
