Boise Police officers arrested the man accused of injuring a bondsman as he fled in his vehicle from an incident late Wednesday night.
Jerry Thumm, 57, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery, a felony, after Boise Police performed a traffic stop on a vehicle speeding through a parking lot on the 7700 block of Fairview Avenue. Thumm was a passenger in the vehicle.
Boise Police responded to reports of shots fired at about 11:17 Wednesday when two bail bond agents attempted to contact an individual known to them to revoke his bond and take him into custody.
During the attempt to make arrest, Thumm reportedly fled in his vehicle, injuring one of the bondsmen, according to a news release. Evidence also indicates the bondsman fired a gun in that incident. No one was injured, according to the news release. The bondsman injured by the vehicle was transported with serious but non-life threatening injuries to an area hospital, according to the news release.
