Michelle Dawn Guzman failed to meet a driver who was to return her to the East Boise Community Reentry Center after her shift at a construction site along Federal Way ended.
The driver was to pick her up at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, according to the Idaho Department of Correction. IDOC put out a public plea for information on Guzman’s whereabouts shortly after 8 p.m.
As the name suggests, reentry centers give inmates who are nearing release the opportunity to work, reconnect with family and prepare for life after prison.
Guzman, 42, is serving an August 2013 sentence of four to 10 years for burglary out of Payette County. Online court records show she was originally released early after completing a prison-based treatment program — an alternative to the full prison sentence — and was later found guilty of violating her probation. Court records also suggest she failed to appear for court hearings several times. She currently would be eligible for parole in May 2018.
