Meridian police seek public help finding attempted burglary suspect
A man police suspect of unsuccessfully trying to steal a cash drawer from a Meridian La Quinta Inn was caught on camera, according to a Meridian Police Department press release.
MPD is seeking public help identifying the suspect, who they say tried to take a cash drawer from the hotel on South Allen Street around 3:50 a.m. Monday. A hotel employee saw the suspect, confronted him and the suspect left the drawer and ran away on foot, according to MPD.
The suspect is described as white, in his 30’s, around 5 feet 11 inches tall, thin, with short brown shaggy hair. He was said to be wearing a dark gray t-shirt with lettering and dark blue basketball shorts with a stripe.
