The Ada County Sheriff's Office received six reports of items stolen from vehicles in neighborhoods along Linder Road north of Idaho 44, the sheriff's office said in a blog post Monday
"If there is one concept we here at the Ada County Sheriff’s Office would like our residents to embrace above all others, it would be: lock your stuff up," the post said.
In at least two of the break-ins, thieves got into cars by opening unlocked garage doors first, the sheriff’s office reports. The area hit by the thieves includes the Preserve, Copperfield and Legacy subdivisions.
Items stolen Sunday night or early Monday included a laptop, a purse, cash, car registration and a bank card, the sheriff's office reports.
