Deputies still investigating Thursday’s head-on crash on Chinden
The Ada County Sheriff's Office on Friday released some details about the crash that clogged rush-hour traffic on Chinden Boulevard near Eagle Thursday evening, but no citations have been issued yet, an ACSO spokesman said.
The spokesman said a 56-year-old man was headed east on Chinden when he veered into the westbound lane to avoid stopped traffic and hit a car driven by a woman in her 50s. Three people were transported to a local hospital, but details of their injuries and the names of the drivers have not been released.
The crash was reported at 5:07 p.m., and Chinden was closed between Star Road and Idaho 16 for several hours Thursday evening.
