Eagle Island Park offers free sledding for day after Christmas
The day after Christmas will bring another gift for Treasure Valley children: free sledding at Eagle Island State Park.
Gateway Parks, which runs the Eagle park’s ski, snowboard and sledding operations, is offering free tubing Dec. 26 for children 12 and younger, according to a Gateway Parks press release.
The park is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Children can take the “Magic Carpet” lift up the hill and then tube down. There’s 8 inches of snow at the base of the hill, according to the release. Tickets are typically $15.
