ATV crash in Kuna Saturday kills 76-year-old woman, hospitalizes another
An ATV crash killed one woman and hospitalized another in Kuna on Saturday.
Two women, ages 73 and 76, were riding in an ATV near the summit of Initial Point when the vehicle rolled down a rocky embankment, Lauren Montague, Ada County Sheriff spokesperson, told the Idaho Statesman in an email.
The Ada County Sheriff’s Office, Kuna Police Department, Kuna Fire Department and Boise Department responded at about 5:36 p.m.
The 76-year-old died at the scene, while the 73-year-old was flown by Life Flight to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Montague.
“Preliminary findings indicate no signs of foul play, and the incident is believed to be accidental at this time,” Montague said.
The Ada County Coroner’s Office may release the victim’s name once family has been notified.
