Coroner releases name of woman who drowned in Indian Creek in Kuna

The Ada County Coroner’s Office released the identity of the woman whose body was recovered in Indian Creek in Kuna, south of Boise, on Monday.

Caroyn Beck, 45, of Kuna, died in an accidental drowning, according to a news release by the Ada County Coroner’s Office on Wednesday. The coroner listed her cause of death as asphyxia.

Beck was pronounced dead at 7:46 p.m. Monday, according to the coroner’s release.

Kuna police responded to a call for a water rescue and possible drowning at about 4:10 p.m. Monday in Indian Creek, near North Thistle Drive and West Navy Street, according to a social media post from the Kuna Police Department. Indian Creek is a popular place for floating.

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office’s Dive Team later responded to help search the water and recovered a woman’s body, according to police. Police said they did not suspect foul play.

The Sheriff’s Office declined to provide further details. The Ada County Sheriff’s Office and Kuna Police Department are investigating the incident.
