19-year-old man killed in midnight motorcycle crash near Boise

A 19-year-old man died in a motorcycle accident early Saturday, and the Ada County Sheriff’s Office is looking for witnesses to the single-vehicle crash.

The Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that the man, who has not yet been publicly identified, was riding a 1991 Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on North Can Ada Road near Star and turned east onto Joplin Road.

Officials said the motorcycle “failed to negotiate the curve” and crashed.

The motorcyclist died at the scene.

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction team is investigating the crash. Anyone who witnessed the crash can contact detectives at acsorecon@adacounty.id.gov or call dispatch at (208) 377-6790. Tips can be left anonymously via Crimestoppers at 343cops.com.
