A Meridian man died in a house fire. Ada County coroner just released his identity

A Meridian man died in a house fire last weekend in the 4600 block of W. Vaquero Lane, according to a news release from the Ada County Coroner’s Office on Thursday.

The coroner identified the man as Norman Duncan, 84.

Just after 8 a.m. on July 20, the Ada County Coroner’s Office was dispatched to the residence, and Duncan was pronounced dead at the scene after the fire was put out. The cause of death is still pending, according to the coroner.

An investigation into the fire is being conducted by the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, and further information will be released as the investigation continues, officials said.
