Meridian woman dies in motorcycle crash near Lucky Peak Dam. She was 20

A 20-year-old Meridian woman died Saturday in a motorcycle crash near Lucky Peak Dam in Ada County.

The woman was riding a 2024 Yamaha YZFR3 in the left lane on Idaho 21 at milepost 9.5 when she failed to make a curve and overturned the motorcycle, according to a news release Sunday from Idaho State Police.

The accident occurred at 8:29 p.m. Saturday, police said. The driver, who was wearing a helmet, died from her injuries at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.

Police are investigating the crash.
