Boise single-story home structure fire temporarily closes part of Cloverdale Road
A house fire temporarily closed a portion of Cloverdale Road, the Boise Fire Department said.
According to a 12:58 p.m. tweet from the Ada County Highway District and Boise Fire Department spokesperson Lynsey Amundson, the intersection of Cloverdale Road and Clover Meadows Drivewas closed to allow firefighters access to the closest fire hydrant. By 1:45 p.m., all the lanes were back open.
The single-story home was significantly damaged, Amundson said in an email to the Idaho Statesman, but all the occupants and pets made it out OK. The family will be displaced from the home, and the Local 149 Boise Burnout Fund was helping them with immediate necessities, she said.
Four fire engines, two fire trucks and two fire battalion chiefs responded to the fire along with Boise police, who helped direct traffic and protect the fire-hose line across the street.
Commuters were asked to “use caution in the area,” the highway district said.
