Motorcyclist who died after colliding with stopped car in Meridian is identified

A 51-year-old motorcyclist died Sunday evening after he collided with a vehicle at the intersection of Victory and Meridian roads.

The Ada County coroner identified the man as Rodney E. Cummings, of Caldwell. Cummings died of blunt force trauma after being transported to a Boise hospital.

The 7 p.m. crash happened when Cummings hit a vehicle that was stopped at the intersection. Toxicology results are not back yet, and the Meridian Police Department is conducting the investigation.
